I remember being a young kid, I still can't remember exactly how old I was, when my Dad sat me down and we watched 2001: A space odyssey. It instilled in me as a very young person a fascination with astronomy and physics. I was in awe of the grandeur of the universe, our own solar system, and how we are all part of something so exponentially bigger than the small world that we live in. It made me curious about delving into the deep waters of physics, why the universe functions in the way it does. It struck a chord deep within me to try to learn about why things that we see everyday work the way that they do, which led me to try to understand all things I saw in life at a much deeper level. I wish I could have met the man that made me clarify how I see things around me and also produced some of my favorite literary works. This man had vision and will be dearly missed.
