Pompous Bastards

So all I have been hearing about lately is how the auto industry is on it's last leg and it is pretty much up to the government to bail them out or otherwise the United States is going to lose billions of dollars and tens of thousands are going to be out of work. Now we have to stop and think for a second about how this all ended up happening. The huge corporations built huge, gas guzzling, SUV's, trucks and cars that were inferior to their Japanese counter parts in regards to quality, economy and even style. Now because of the economic crisis, and the fact that their companies are swirling down the shitter, they've gone before congress to ask for a bailout plan. So what do these slapdicks do? They all fly to D.C. in their own private luxury jets. It kinda reminds of the audacity that Ol Dirty Bastard had when he rolled up to pick up his wellfare check in a limo. It's like panhandling in a Gucci suit. Even if we are dumb enough to give these assholes one red cent, what ...

Obama

It happened. The Republican reign is finally over for at least the next four years. Americans have finally grown tired of living in fear of its own government. War, scandal, mockery of justice, we have all endured an administration that had it's own personal interests placed before the American people. I think this is a great milestone, a sign that tolerance has become a part of the American people once again. We have a black president. To hear or write those words is a miracle considering the incredible hurdles black Americans have had to struggle with since being forcefully torn from their homeland and brought to America as slaves. America has shown that we as a people can look past gender and race and truly see what it is important. People all over the world are rejoicing with the news that Barack Obama is the new leader of the greatest country on earth. Our country now has a leader that believes in the American people. He believes in all Americans. Not just the "Real Ameri...

Election Day

So I went and voted this morning and to honest I was a little worried that I might end up waiting in long lines so I made sure to bring a book. Thankfully when I got to the polling place in my precinct there was no line and no wait. I literally walked in, filled in a couple of ovals with my bic pen and walked out. Pretty easy. Now we just have to wait around and see how many other people filled in the same ovals as me with their bic pens and we'll know who our next president will be. So we're just one step closer to hopefully working on rebuilding our country and giving back to the people that really need help right now. The only thing I could really think about when I left the polls is how over the last eight years we've seen so many absurd things happen and the absurd way that they were dealt with. I feel that good things are on the way and I purely intend on remaining optimistic about what we have to look forward to.

So we're almost there

Tomorrow our country will decide who will become our next president. I have read many news articles stating that countries all over the world are keeping their eyes on what is going on with our election. It simply goes to show how much of an impact this election is going to have not only on our country but the rest of the world. The lives of billions of people are going to be affected by who ends up taking office. Our world is in desperate need of someone that is going to have the rationale to make decisions that are going to start helping people. I have to admit I am nervous, I don't think I can tolerate the Republicans taking control of the white house again. The lack of logic in their decision making and political agendas haven't helped our country for the last eight years and they certainly will not help us for the next eight. I'm tired of it, I'm tired of thinking about it, tired of arguing with people about what is what should be pretty simple: the idea of making ...
