So I got laid off. It's been about three weeks and I have taken a lot of time off from everything. I was actually pretty relieved when it happened because I was really starting to hate my job. Mangement sucked, no incentive whatsoever to do a good job and the company I worked for (one of the biggest computer conglomerates in the world) basically doesn't give a shit about their employees. The whole company was basically a big clusterfuck of blowhards. It amazes me that they are able to accomplish anything with how bad communication is within the company and how unorganized their people are. Not to mention the product I was working on before I left which was supposed to generate billions of dollars for the company was an utter complete piece of shit. I can't go into specifics but I can say that it was plagued with intermittent problems and they tried to implement too many bells and whistles which were designed to make the customers swoon.
